The Foster Clinic was opened in 1984 in Gorleston High Street. In 1987 the practice moved to its present location, expanding in 1992 to become one of the largest multi disciplinary complementary practices in the area covering physiotherapy and manipulation, acupuncture, aromatherapy, chiropody, homeopathy, reflexology, herbal medicine, hypnotherapy and psychotherapy.

The Clinic has HPC registered staff thereby enabling many patients to recover costs from private insurance and medical health plans.
Steve Foster, founder of the Clinic, is a qualified physiotherapist, who, while establishing his practice in Gorleston was also working with various national athletes, making him very knowledgeable on sports injuries.
In 1987 he purchased the present premises. During this time he was travelling to Belgium where he worked in practice with Marina Nicolaes his present partner and now wife Marina graduated in Belgium, then worked in hospitals before setting up her own practice.
| In 1990 after selling her thriving practice Marina and Steve moved to Blackpool where Steve took up an administration and teaching post for 18 months combining this with the practice in Gorleston. |

Both Steve and Marina came back to the clinic full time in 1992 and at the end of the year the clinic was extended. The other practitioners started to arrive in 1993 and the clinic has continued to go from strength to strength.
In 1997 Steve and Marina celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Bells Road Clinic. In the same year his governing body honoured Steve by awarding him a fellowship for his hard work and dedication within his field. This was a particular honour as only one fellowship a year is given throughout the world.
Marina spent some time working with a specialised head injuries unit in Norwich and is in demand now to deal with stroke and accident victims. Steve has taken on contracts for physiotherapy for all emergency services within the area. He is also in demand to deliver lectures on a regular basis to the Medical profession and to industry.

Steve is the Secretary of the LCSP Register, which is the oldest-established and largest organisation of private practitioners and students of remedial massage and manipulative therapy, currently representing over 1700 members. The names and addresses of these therapists are listed in the annual Membership Register and the Directory of Practitioner Members, which are produced by the society.
